INTAJ has recently added this service line into its operations in the Sultanate of Oman. Using proven technology INTAJ is able to supply various directional drilling solutions including:
- Standard Mud Motors
- Turbine Motors
- MWD solutions
- Gyroscopic surveys
Mud Motors
INTAJ is able to supply next generation high performance mud lubricated motors using a new composite material for stator that came from aviation’s industry to replace conventional elastomer and give extraordinary features:
- Working temperatures of upto 350°C or 662F
- More Torque than even wall power sections
- Unaffected by various Mud types
- No need to reline (after use in High-Temperature environment or OBM)
- Longer life than conventional power sections
- Up to 45% shorter length (with equivalent power performance)
- Available in all sizes (from 1” to 11.75″)
Turbine Motors
INTAJ can provide various turbine solutions for the harshest of environments with international proof of success. A turbodrill consists of multistage axial flow stator and rotor blades that converts the hydraulic energy (flow x pressure) of the drilling fluid into mechanical energy to drive a shaft and drill bit. A “stage” consists of one set of stator and rotor blades.
The stators are stationary, locked to the turbine body, and deflect the flow of drilling fluid onto the rotors, which are locked to the drive shaft. As the rotors are forced to turn, the drive shaft is also forced to turn, causing the bit to rotate.
Dual Telemetry MWD toolstring
Introducing the dual telemetry MWD system, a new generation of MWD tools intended to keep you on bottom drilling for as long as possible. The system combines EM and Mud Pulse technology to ensure that wellbore telemetry is delivered to the surface in nearly any drilling environment.
The tool is fully adjustable for any drilling application and can be assembled as a standalone Mud Pulse tool, EM tool, or a combination of both. Each telemetry system can be active at the same time which gives the benefit of load sharing logging data and there are no delays when switching between EM and Mud Pulse.
The EM transmitter is capable of operating at higher speeds and at greater depths than legacy EM MWD systems and a robust receiver contains advanced decoding innovations to handle logging through even the most challenging formations. Two-way communication allows operators to adjust parameters of the down-hole tool on the fly.
- Rugged and reliable, capable of operating in high pressure (20,000psi) and high temperature (150°C) conditions.
- Fully retrievable, the entire tool can be mounted into a standard non-magnetic drill collar for easy Installation.
- Increased confidence while drilling in EM inhibitive formations, just switch to mud pulse whenever EM signals aren’t decoding.
- Achieve faster Mud Pulse data rates.
- Improved valve actuation and enhanced durability increases the down-hole endurance and longevity of the pulser while advanced detection techniques minimize noise and reduce signal interference.
- Advanced EM control module with High performance 32-bit RISC processor.
- Down-link to reconfigure the EM tool (steering/survey sequences, power, carrier channel and tool mode)

Positive Mud Pulse MWD toolstring
The positive mud pulse MWD system is a complete solution to transmit surveys, telemetry, gamma ray and vibration data to the surface in real-time using pressure signals in the wellbore. The bottom mounted tool is fully retrievable and has a modular design for easy transportation and assembly at the rig site.
- Rugged down-hole directional modules; down-linking capabilities with variable survey and telemetry sequences
- Motor driven pulser with anti-plugging technology, excellent performance in LCM and high solid environments.
- Wireline retrievable and re-seatable design (minimum 2.25” I.D.)
- JAE SmartDM is a drop-in Directional Interface Module (DIM) and Orientation Sensor package contained all-in-one chassis
- Simple operation using a wide range of flow rates and rotary speeds
- On-board rotary sensor enables alternative telemetry sequences and faster LWD data rates while rotating.
- Detailed log of power usage statistics with real-time battery health information.
